Hand made with care in New Zealand from high quality 22 momme 6A grade mulberry silk.  Both sides of the pillowcase are made from silk.

This silk is also OEKO TEX standard 100.  This means the fabric has been independently tested and the dyes used in the production of the fabric are safe and non toxic.

Standard sized pillowcase measuring 50cm x 74cm with a generous 23cm envelope enclosure, to make sure your pillowcase stays on all night.

There is a discreet label on the inside of the pillowcase with washing instructions.  They can be machine washed on a delicate cycle in warm water with gentle detergent.  Lay flat to dry, then iron on a cool setting.  Please do not wring or tumble dry.

The benefits of silk for your skin and hair:

Sleeping on silk is a great way to prevent bedhead. This is especially helpful for people with curly or textured hair and helps preserve your hairstyle.

The natural properties of silk, including its smooth surface, can help reduce friction on your hair which often causes damage, like split ends.  For the same reason, it's great for protecting delicate skin and preventing wrinkles.

Silk is naturally hypoallergenic, anti bacterial, anti mould and has a natural resistance to dust mites and other allergens.  It's also a great heat regulator as you sleep.

Silk doesn’t strip the moisture out of your hair and skin the way cotton does. Cotton is more porous than silk, which absorbs moisture.
