This silk is also OEKO TEX standard 100.  This means the fabric has been independently tested and the dyes used in the production of the fabric are safe and non toxic.

Our silk lined tubular hair wraps are very special!  They've been made with your hair in mind - they're a no-fuss option for protecting your hair day and night.  

They're perfect for protecting your hair while you sleep, but also so versatile during the day as a headband, beanie or can be worn around your neck for warmth on a cold day. 

The beautifully soft outer fabric is made from 95% viscose (which is a natural fiber made from wood) and 5% spandex for stretch.  This makes it easy to slip on and fit comfortably over your hair.  And the inside is filled with luscious 100% silk, which protects your hair from damage and doesn't dry your hair out the way other fabrics can.  Both the inner and outer fabrics are extremely breathable and heat regulating.

They come in three sizes - Petite, Regular and Extra Long.  The regular size (42cm long 24cm wide) will fit most adults who consider themselves to have a regular to large sized head.  The hair wrap is long enough to fit long voluminous hair past the shoulder down to the mid back.  If you consider yourself to have a very small head, then the petite size (38cm long 22cm wide) is perfect for you.  The petite size is also great for children, from about the age of 7 years old.  It does fit smaller children, but the fit isn't as tight, so may come off in the night. The Extra Long Size is the same width as the regular, with an extra 7cm of length and perfect for people with very long or voluminous hair past the mid back.

The benefits of silk:

Wrapping hair in silk is a great way to prevent it going frizzy overnight. This is especially helpful for people with curly or textured hair and helps preserve braids and blow dried hair.

The natural properties of silk, including its smooth surface, can help reduce friction on your hair which often causes damage, like split ends.

It’s naturally hypoallergenic. Silk has a natural resistance to dust mites and other allergens.

Silk doesn’t strip the moisture out of your hair the way cotton does. Cotton is more porous than silk, which absorbs moisture from your hair.
