The main body of the headband is made from soft fabric and it's secured at the back of your head with soft and stretchy nylon/spandex ties.  This means you can tie it loosely or tightly, depending on your head size.  Some people like a loose fit, which is also great for people wearing glasses.

The headband can be worn in a thin strip or you can spread the fabric for wider coverage, as pictured.

It looks great when worn over the hairline like a bandana or you can push it further back from your hairline and wear it like a headband.
